I acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land where I work and live, the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation - and pay my respects to Elders past and present. I celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.

I have always had an interest in art and architecture, so, after many years working in as a book designer, I finally decided to put pencil to paper and started illustrating some of my favourite buildings in and around my neighbourhood - the Sydney suburb of Newtown.

I like to bring attention to ordinary places. Buildings we've walked past a thousand times but have never really stopped to look at. Every time I start a new illustration, I always discover something new - a quirky sign or an unusual detail. Without fail, there is always something that I’ve never noticed before - and it’s those little city bits that, to me, are always interesting and always exciting.
