This building on Addison Road in Marrickville has always stood out to me. I love the colour and all the line details.

Dairy Bell, you will be missed. The ice-cream factory and shop has recently closed it's doors after 44 years.

I have always loved this little garage. It has been a St Peters landmark for 50 years but, sadly, it has now closed down and the façade painted over.

I love this sandstone corner shop in Birchgrove. Part of an historic row of terraces, this little store, opposite a park with a harbour view, is one of my favourite places to get a coffee in Sydney.

Marrickville's iconic Lustre-glo sign is currently missing from the building due to some refurbishing - prompting some serious Inner-Westie anxiety. It will be back soon!

Built in the 1920s, then given an art deco makeover in the 1950s - this beautiful old theatre building (now apartments) is loved by Petersham locals.

This old theatre building was transformed into a rollerskating rink in the late 70s and was a Petersham hotspot for 30 years!

Mario has moved on, but his shopfront in Annandale still shouts the word 'Meat' at passers-by.

This massive, brightly coloured, double-finned building is a well-known Marrickville landmark on Addison Road.

Once a popular milk bar in Annandale - Mrs Craig's Lolly Shop was loved by local school children. The building still stands but has been closed for many years.

The Olympia has been operating since 1939 and has remained unchanged, inside and out. Much-loved by locals, it is currently closed by council for safety reasons.

The Oxford Tavern in all its mock-Tudor, neon-sign glory!

For years this was Pigeon Ground records. A quirky second-hand shop and local landmark. These days it's a popular cafe and, fortunately, the quirkiness remains.

The Rio Milk Bar was a Summer Hill favourite for over 60 years. These days it's a bar, but the original façade remains.

A fabulous example of Inter-war Art Deco architecture on display in sunny Stanmore.

This castle-like building on Livingstone Road was once part of Salvation Army training centre. These days it's used for housing.
